Coree Spencer wanted to be an actress when she was 5, started writing and drawing her own comic books at 7. When she was 8, she was putting on plays with finger puppets behind her parent's couch for her family. She played with dolls until an embarassing age (14).
All of this formed the creative person you see today.
Watching The State and SNL in the early 90's solidified her need to make comedy wherever she could. Being a store manager in her early 20's, she couldn't pursue any acting jobs so she decided to make her own roles and started writing and producing sketch comedy in 2000, in the short lived comedy troupe "The Zoo" out of Seattle, Washington.
In 2001, she moved to Portland (being a native of southwest Washington) and her and her husband Tyler created the award winning sketch comedy group Homeless Corner in 2003.
Since then, she has been part of 3 other comedy groups, (Ladies Night!, Coffee For Drew Productions, and Awful Waffle). She has also been involved in putting together a book for Coffee For Drew Productions featuring Myspace contest submission stories to the photography of Tyler's Dangerous Dames Collection.
Recently, her comedy was featured on the Upright Citizen's Brigade comedy website and on May 1st her short "Maxx" was listed as the website's 3rd most viewed sketch. (ucbcomedy.com)
She is an Executive Producer, Segment Producer Manager, Segment Video Editor, Behind-the-scenes blog writer, Content Manager, Music Score Writer, MOM and also the host of Pirate Satellite Television, a tv show coming out this summer about Portland.
This summer she will also be an associate producer for the 48 Hour Film Project in Portland.
